Fall Designs

Here are a couple of designs I have done recently.

The Raggy Fleur De Lis was perfect for this Saints shirt I whipped up for Uncle Michael's football games
A sweet fuzzy owl for Everett who will be an October Baby
I also did a University of Tennessee T shirt for a friend, but I forgot to take a picture : ( So Julia, as soon as Malone sits still, will you send me one : )

That's all I have for Fall so far. Anybody have ideas for what they would like to see?

Two years

I have no idea why (hehehe), but I am feeling nostalgic today. Could be because it's my awesome sister and brother-in-laws two year anniversary.

And  because This little nugget is on the way!!! And I'll be an Aunt in April!!!!

Which reminds me of the time all my best friends started having babies that are now are turning 5 this week!

And can you believe this was a mere 24 months ago?!?!

Man, time is flying! Hope you are all taking time in your days to soak it up, because life is moving past us at lightning speed. Can't wait to see what is coming!

Grievance or Gratitude

I must confess, I have been a bad mood, for like 2 weeks. Not every waking moment, but my anxiety and annoyance level is definitely at a code orange. I have to focus on calming down and having fun some days and that is no way to be so I need to get some things off my chest.

Here comes the vent:

I am tired. My kid never stops moving and going from summer time chill to 40/50 hour work weeks and then a hyped up 3 year old all evening makes for a rude awakening=exhausted mom.

Our calendar is too full, with all good things I WANT to do. We are social people, we love to have things going on, but seriously we have to put a calm on it or we are going to burn out. Or we won't, we'll just wait until winter when everyone naturally hibernates and store up our energy.

I saw this saying the other day, and it is too true "We must stop glorifying busyness!"

My kid is exactly like me, she hates to go to bed, she loves to get her own way, and she never stops talking, never. Dealing with these things day in and day out make Mommy cranky.

Our car got hit while PARKED on the street yesterday evening. It was parked there while we did yard work, bluh. So not only did we have to do hard labor, it also cost us $500 because now we have to pay our collision deductable!

Whew, thank you for letting me whine, I feel better.

Now the fix for that feeling of overwhelmed anxiety. Gratitude. Thankful prayers.

I am so overwhelming grateful I have a job that I love. I get to be with sweet children everyday and share my love of music with them.

I am so happy I have a fun, smart, energetic child who loves to run and play and get every ounce of joy out of each day. I am amazed by her sweet spirit and her spunky fortitude everyday. She makes me so happy.

I am so blessed with friends and family that want to be be around me even when I'm whiny, they invite me to dinners,  baby showers, birthday parties and concerts.

I am humbled we are financially capable of owning cars, having insurance and that we are able to come up with funds when life throws inconveniences our way.

I am so thankful for my husband, who is with me every step of the way.

There is so much more to offer praise about. Thank you for letting me get it down in writing so that I will not forget.

Hold me closer tiny dancer

My teeny tiny baby started Ballet class last week! I can't believe she is big enough to be able to take a class of anything! But something like ballet that is slow and requires patience and listening skills amazes me. But sure enough she did it.

We picked the school because it is very close to our house and it had a conveniently timed class for our schedule. But now that we have had a class, I am even more pleased with our choice.

You wouldn't think people took 3/4 year old ballet class very seriously, but Wee's teacher definitely does! It's adorable and overwhelming all at once. Her teacher doesn't allow any parents to watch or come in the room at all. All the girls must be wearing the same thing every week. They all must wear their hair in a bun. No stickers or bandaids or glitter on their bodies. If they don't wear part of their uniform, you have to borrow it from the teacher for a fine. And if you are more then 15 mins late you have to sit and watch the lesson, you cannot dance that day. At the end of the year they can go through the Royal Academy of Ballet exams! Although she doesn't recommend it until they are 5! Ha!

So I did not get many pictures of our first day, A. because Wee was way too excited to stand still for pictures and 2. Because I wasn't allowed in, although I may have pulled back a paper covering on a window and snapped one dancing pic anyway, hope I don't get fined!

Before class, in our "uniform"

Headed to meet new friends, she so has attachment problems : )

The teacher shutting the door on me as I try to get her picture in the room!

Through the slit in the window

After!
